Sew Lets Begin
This is a two-week intro to sewing program is for students in 4 – 8th grade and is geared to students with little to no sewing experience. Class is size is limited.
We will learn how to thread and use the sewing machine and make a simple beach bag.
Fee: $20.00 for supplies – all supplies will be provided (fabric, thread)
Where: 8th grade algebra room (upstairs)
When: Mondays Jan. 9 and Jan. 16
Time: 2:30 – 4:00 – Students will be dismissed as a group at the car port.

Class rules:
1. All girls are required and expected to put away all sewing machines and supplies, even if they haven’t personally used the item
2. Girls will be dismissed as a group no one will be dismissed until the room is in order.
We will be dismissed at the car port.

Sew Spectacular
This is a six-week sewing program is for students in 5 – 8th grade with previous sewing experience (students in this class MUST have prior formal sewing lessons through SCS enrichment or another program ) Class size is limited. Students must be able to thread a sewing machine on their own and know how to use a pattern.
Students will make one garment in this class and have a choice of a simple dress with a zipper OR a top with a set in sleeve . Students will design their garment, select their patterns and complete a supply list the first class.
Fee: $40.00 plus fabric and notions (the pattern will be provided and is included in the fee).
Where: 8th grade algebra room (upstairs)
Time: 2:30 – 4:15 dismissal will be as a group at the car port.
When: Wednesdays January 11, 18, 25, February 1, 8, 15 make-up class February 22
Supply List: A supply list will be sent home after the first class, students will be required to have all supplies for the second class session. No supplies are needed for the first class.
